  • Wajid is a gender equality advocate and doing Masters of Philosophy in Gender Studies and has been working in the areas of Sexual reproductive Health & Rights, Comprehensive Sexuality Education/ Life Skills Based Education and gender equality since 2018 with different National and International Organizations. He is leading Network of Ambassadors at Punjab Women Protection Authority, this network aims to reduce violence against women and other vulnerable groups and raise awareness regarding the rights, freedoms and protection to citizens. He is an former Asian Pacific Resource and Research Centre For Women(ARROW) RHRN Change makers seed fund grantee and implemented his social action project under the name of Eliminate Violence Celebrate Difference, This project aims to bring gender equality through sensitizing young people about respecting all genders to bring peace, breaking stereotypes, changing mindsets and building their capacities to counter & prevent rising violence against vulnerable communities and he is a Comprehensive Sexuality Education/ Life Skills Based Education trainer and he has conducted several trainings & sessions to sensitize adolescents and young people to deal with their Sexual reproductive health challenges and to make informed decisions. He is a Country Ambassador & Grantee of Peace First Int and running his own project regarding countering and preventing child marriages and other harmful practices and raise awareness regarding SRH rights of girls and women through campaigning and advocacy. He is a member of ICPD 30 Asia Pacific Regional Youth group and leading his own initiative under the name Youth Innovations Network for change which is a national incubator for youth lead social change, this platform provide access to training, mentors and funding to turn young people ideas regarding SRHR into action and he is a researcher and wrote his research paper on Impact of Lockdown on Women: Rise in Physical Abuse in South Asia.
