  • Sinoxolo Cakata started her journey of public speaking when she was still in high school with the hope to advocate on issues facing adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) as she lives in a country where young women are not aware of their sexual and reproductive health rights. Currently she is pursuing her degree in International Relations at the University of South Africa. Sinoxolo started her own sanitary pad drive to help school girls in her rural community to ensure no girl child misses out of school because of a period, Sinoxolo Cakata gained experience working as the first Project Lead at Sesi Fellowship Skills Hub organisation in the Eastern Cape where she led a skills development training for young women.

    Sinoxolo is also a Generation Equality Fellow working comprehensively on Sustainable Development Goal 5, because of her drive in raising awareness on SRHR she also became a Youth Policy Member at Youth at SAIIA where she is able to engage in policy implementation. Sinoxolo became a Youth Advisory Panel Member at UNFPA where she engages in decision making processes and creating working plans.

    Sinoxolo has a vision where young peoples voices are properly represented and are included in every decision making processes because they are the leaders of the present and the future.

  • Sinoxolo has a bubbly character, she loves cooking, listening to music, meeting new people and learning about other peoples cultures, she loves traveling. She hopes to run her own skills development organisation in the near future and lastly she loves interacting with animals.
