  • Marianela is from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She is an outstanding public speaker and has received multiple trainings about leadership, oratory, debate, human rights and SRHR. As a medical practitioner, she has been an eager activist, discussing these topics or fighting stigma and discrimination at the classroom, hospital and community. She started her path in SRHR as the first National Officer at the Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV and AIDS (SCORA) of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations in Honduras. She has also collaborated regionally with other activists in meetings and NGOs. She speaks Spanish, French, English and she’s currently learning Portuguese.

  • Marianela just finished medical school at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras. She loves to travel, watching documentaries and telling jokes.
