Marian Abukayo Murunga is a young woman passionate about women and girls and their effective participation in development processes.Her interests are in sexual Reproductive Health Programming and policy advocacy. She equally amplifies the inequalities girls in rural communities face in terms of access to digital skills that continuously limits them from accessing opportunities for growth and development

Marian is a graduate of Business and Information management with a major in data science. She has over 5 years of local national and international experience designing, implementing and evaluating programs around women, girls and young people. She is a co-founder of The Border Hub; a youth led organization in Kenya that enables women, girls and young people to gain the skills, confidence and connections they need to succeed in life, business and career
She currently sits in the EU YSB(Youth Sounding Board) where together with other members she contributes to making EU action more participatory, relevant and effective for young people In EU partner countries. She also sits in the gender and youth technica working groups in Kenya where together with other civil society organizations she champions for gender transformative policies and engendered budgets.
