Kerigo Odada is an intersectional feminist who is passionate about movement building, youth empowerment, and amplifying feminist voices within the global development agenda. She is a sexual and reproductive health and rights specialist who has 5 years of experience working in the area both regionally and internationally through her work with organizations such as; the African Women’s Development and Communication Network, Kenya Human Rights Commission, the South African Commission for Gender Equality, amongst others. At the moment, Kerigo is pursuing a Masters in Law in Sexual and Reproductive Rights in Africa at the University of Pretoria- Centre for Human Rights where her research focuses on post-partum detention of pregnant women in Kenya for non-payment of user fees.
Kerigo’s experience in advocacy and research has seen her work on various projects including; Forced sterilization of poor women living with HIV in South Africa, attrition of intimate partner violence cases in South Africa, decriminalization of same-sex relations and sex work in Kenya, access to abortion services and post-abortion care in East and Southern Africa, eradication of statelessness in Africa et al.

Kerigo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Nairobi where she also served as the Executive Director of the Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa.
She is passionate about environmental conservation and hopes to fulfill her vision of planting and taking care of 10,000 trees in her home country Kenya.
