  • Karabo is interested in LGBTQIA++ matters and advocates for equality of all. Equal access to SRHR, Legal services, representation of LGBTIQA++ in Media and Parliament and ensuring that LGBTQIA++ persons benefit from all the programs that are tailored for all, without leaving anyone behind, as well as creating LGBTQIA++ specific empowerment programs.

  • Karabo is a young gay man who is passionate about equality of Human Rights for all. Since he joined LEGABIBO, an organization that speaks for the rights of the LGBTQIA++ persons in Botswana. His passion for activism has been impressive. Karabo participated in Human rights training that was hosted by the MPACT and the Centre for Public Health and Human Rights by John Hopkins University Online Training for Health Professionals.

    From his experiences with LEGABIBO, Karabo gained knowledge to mobilize the community, particularly the gay community and men sleeping with men. The objective was and still is to sensitize the LGBT community on their health rights and accessing health services at their time of need with nothing hindering them. The services included, mental and psychosocial support, HIV testing and counselling, STI screening, PrEP enrolment and ART initiation. Karabo is also volunteering with the Policy and Legal Advocacy office of LEGABIBO, where he now facilitates community dialogues with community leaders and members of the community, training law enforcements officers, teachers and religious leaders on LGBT matters and how to address such matters ensuring inclusion of all and making sure that no one is left behind regardless of whatever difference they have.

  • Karabo also holds a Diploma in FASHION AND Textiles and a BA (HONS) in Professional Design. He has also been a student Ambassador at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology Botswana.
