THE WATCHDOG

The Watchdog is the organisation’s newsletter which is entirely youth-authored with articles written by YCSRR members, peer activists and partner organisations. It is part of the YCSRR's advocacy and public education activities and was first produced at the Youth Forum in The Hague in February 1999.

We currently have two types of Watchdogs. Thematic Watchdogs collect art, writing and perspectives from young people all over the world on specific topics, while Advocacy Watchdogs are a tool that we use for accountability in the High-Level Advocacy spaces where we participate. It also gives the YCSRR an opportunity to assess how negotiations are proceeding and a voice to express the organization’s opinions, views, and hopes as to how the government delegations would address the sensitive issues surrounding adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights.

The Watchdog is a great opportunity to share the experience of YC members at different spaces and events with everyone. The Watchdog is shared with anyone who subscribes to the newsletter as well as it is shared at most international conferences and events the YCSRR attends. Download our editions of the watchdog below!
