Sukhbir Thind is a Canadian lawyer, dedicated to the achievement of human rights through policy evaluation and international law mechanisms. She values a multi-disciplinary approach and believes in evidence-based solutions. She has lived-experiences in India, Canada and Kenya, and currently resides in Switzerland.
The main focus of her work is evaluating national and international SRHR policies through an intersectional feminist framework. She hopes to apply her work at YCSRR to better understand international humanitarian law issues, especially in the Women, Peace and Security field.
Sukhbir holds a Bachelor of Science from McMaster University and a Juris Doctor from Western Law. Sukhbir clerked at the South Asian Legal Clinic of Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018. She has since worked at the United Nations and the International Commission of Jurists (Kenya).
