Ines has been an activist for sexual and reproductive health and rights since 2000, when she participated as volunteer for a peer sexuality education project called “Communication in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) for Adolescents and Young People - Arte & Parte"” of a Paraguayan NGO. Since then she has participated in many national and regional level programs and campaigns regarding gender equity, preventing violence against women, feminism, safe abortion right, sexual and reproductive rights, with emphasis on young people.
She participated in a counseling program of the Paraguayan National Program for HIV-AIDS and other sexually transmitted deceases control (PRONASIDA), and a program for telephonic emergency attention of the Psychological Attention Service of the National Emergency Service 911, attending women who suffer violence.
At the present she is member of the Paraguayan Society of Human Sexuality Studies – SPESH, where she coordinates the Youth Committee.
Ines has participated at international level meetings regarding HIV-AIDS, Women and young people, including the Program Coordination Board of ONUAIDS, the Commission on Status of Women of United Nations, the International AIDS Conference and the Women Deliver Conference.
She has a degree in Psychology from the National University of Asuncion - Paraguay and a diploma in family planning and contraception methods from the Centro Rosarino de Estudios Perinatales - Argentina.
She has experience coordinating and facilitating workshops for young people about sexuality education with sexual and reproductive rights perspective, and with emphasis on prevention of HIV-AIDS and other sexually transmitted deceases.
Ines has experience on advocacy for sexual and reproductive right through media since she hosted a radio and television program called “With S from SEX”, for the “Arte y Parte” project on peer sexuality education.
