Before joining the YCSRR, Anna was working for several years in the field of SRHR. Serving first as a local, and then national officer on Reproductive Health including AIDS, she was associated with the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations for almost 6 years. During that time, Anna was conducting several projects focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention, sexuality and LGBT rights.
For the last two years, she has also been an active member of the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS, serving as Regional Focal Point for Eastern Europe & Central Asia.
Anna is addicted to Agatha Christie’s criminal stories and espresso macchiato. Her favorite place on Earth is Iceland, Café Babalu in Reykjavik to be exact, as they serve the best carrot cake in the whole world!
Her professional interest oscillates around infectious diseases and mental health. She graduated from the Medical School of Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, working for many years as a member of the Students’ Scientific Association. She also holds an MSc in Physiotherapy from the Opole University of Technology.
